Frequently asked questions
Do I have to buy everything, or can I start with one part?
Yes, you can start with Housekeeping on its own. Most hotels begin with the module that costs them most today and add Maintenance, Guest Connect or AI Agents later. Every module runs on the same core, so adding one needs no new setup, no second login and no second PMS integration.
Will my team actually use it?
Yes. Sweeply Housekeeping is built for room attendants on their phones, not for office users. Room status is colour-coded, tasks arrive already assigned, and every screen, including the notes colleagues write to each other, is translated into each person's own language, with 30+ languages available. Most housekeepers work confidently within their first shift, and training a full team takes one to two days.
Does it work with our PMS?
Yes, if your hotel runs one of the 20+ property management systems Sweeply integrates with, including Mews, Apaleo, Oracle OPERA Cloud, Infor, Guestline, Cloudbeds, VisBook and SIHOT. Room status syncs in both directions, so a room marked clean in Sweeply updates the PMS without anyone retyping it. The full list is on the Integrations page.
How long does it take to get running?
On a supported PMS, your rooms, reservations and room statuses are live in Sweeply within 24 hours. Team training takes one to two days, and most hotels run a full housekeeping day in Sweeply within their first week. There is no hardware, no server and no IT project.
What does it cost?
Housekeeping is priced per sellable room, per month. Lobbies, corridors and back-of-house spaces are never charged, and the rate per room falls as your room count rises. The pricing page explains how it works, and our sales team can give you your exact number.
Is our data safe?
Yes. Hotel data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is protected with two-factor authentication and role-based permissions, and every change is logged. Sweeply ehf. is registered in Iceland, so the GDPR applies directly, and a data processing agreement is available on request. Full details, including where data is hosted, are on our Security page.
Can guests opt out of daily housekeeping?
Yes. With Guest Connect, guests choose how often their room is cleaned, from the pre-arrival email through their stay, and housekeeping works from each choice. At Keahotelsโ Reykjavik Lights Hotel, guests declined daily housekeeping 71% of the time in the first month, saving 179 hours of work.
What is the difference between housekeeping software and a housekeeping app?
Housekeeping software is the whole system: supervisors plan the day, assign rooms and follow room status, connected to the PMS. The housekeeping app is the part room attendants use on their phones. Sweeply includes both: a web app for managers and an iOS and Android staff app in 30+ languages that also works offline.
